I am a Master's educated, Certified Personal Trainer with a California Teaching Credential, and I am on a mission to make our world healthier. Using the power of education and a positive coaching approach, I hope to empower individuals, families, and communities across the globe to live a life of physical and mental wellbeing, filled with energy, confidence and purpose.
As a female, an athlete, a mother, and now a business owner, I have personal experience with the societal pressures and expectations that come with each those roles in today's world. Since age 15, I tried to live up to unrealistic expectations, to do it all, to have it all, and to look the part, and I eventually crashed and burned- whether it was ongoing injuries throughout college athletics, excessive yoyo-dieting throughout my young adulthood, or mental health struggles as a new mother. It took me thirty years to discover TRUE health and wellness- physically, mentally and emotionally, and I want to share it with the world. Because of these experiences, I am extremely passionate about helping women and girls build their self-confidence and strengthen their self-love by embracing the benefits fitness done right. This means sustainable exercise routines, proper and enjoyable nutrition, developing healthy habits, and establishing fundamental fitness knowledge. After all, knowledge is power.
Exercise has been shown to boost self-esteem, elevate mood, improve cognitive functioning, and reduce anxiety. It can reduce the risk of developing heart disease, type 2 diabetes and other chronic disease, and help in maintaining a healthy body weight when paired with proper eating. Girls who play sports or engage in regular physical activity throughout their development are more likely to grow up confident and successful. Adults who engage in regular physical activity have a lower risk of developing chronic disease. Exercise can be used to take an athlete's game to the next level, help a new mom recover after the miracle of childbirth, enhance body confidence, or simply help someone feel energized and excited for life. Sadly, the fitness world has been struggling, obsessed with aesthetics, extreme behaviors, trends, and going viral at the expense of providing quality information. I'm here to educate women and girls on what fitness REALLY looks like when utilized properly, and how it can transform anyone's life in the most incredible ways.
Using a holistic and sustainable approach to fitness, I hope to guide women and girls in the process of becoming the best they can be in whatever aspect of life they choose: school, sports, career, family, or personal. I hope to see every TCW participant live with a heightened sense of self and use this improved health and confidence to live an intentional life, turning their dreams into reality. I want others to experience the ripple effect that comes with prioritizing their health. The power of fitness done right can be completely life-changing.
